FAQs
Has a planning application been submitted?
No. The proposals are at an early stage, and a planning application has not yet been submitted.
Does the EIA Screening Request mean the proposals have been approved?
No. The Screening Request does not determine whether planning permission should be granted.
It is used to establish whether the future planning application will need to be accompanied by a formal Environmental Impact Assessment.
What happens if an EIA is required?
If Hillingdon Council decides that an EIA is required, the relevant environmental effects of the proposals will be assessed in detail.
The findings will then be reported in an Environmental Statement submitted as part of the future planning application.
When can I have my say on the proposals?
We will be holding a public consultation later this year, before a planning application is submitted.
The consultation will provide an opportunity to see more information about the emerging proposals, ask questions and provide feedback.
Where can I find the EIA Screening Request?
The Screening Request will be publicly available through the London Borough of Hillingdon’s planning website. (Link TBC)
